80-100 Largemouth

I feel like a fink to have such and awesome day of fishing and not wanting to tell where but I will drop a few hints.
Angler Dan and I headed to parts East(first hint) for an enjoyable day of hauling in Largemouth. We left Provo at 6:30 am and reached Lake xyz at 9:15 (second hint). We fished hard till around 2PM catching around 30-40 fish ranging from small to around 3.5LBS kind of slow. At 2 pm we headed over to the East side of Lake xyz and enjoyed a high cloresterol lunch (third hint). We headed back to our Launch around 3pm and were hoping to land a 5 pounder (didn’t happen) but around 7pm they started hammering and we picked up several more 3 pounders and ended the day around 9 pm with between 80-100 fish.

The great thing about the day is we only saw about 5 boats on lake xyz all day, the gas prices must be having an effect and my toon sems to have been a great investment.

We returned to my house in Provo at 12:30 am only half alive with skeeter bites and mayfly wings between my teeth. Overall most people never have the opportunity to experience a day of fishing like that and I really don’t know if I want them to on Lake xyz(yes I am a fink).

The hot lure was a weightless worm anything with a flouresent tip, watermellon was my personal fav but we had a hard time finding a color that they wouldn’t hit on (pumkin).

The final hint is that we did catch a few big Bluegill and if that does’nt help TOO BAD FOR YOU! Sorry only 1 picture but the one tells all.

I think I know where lake xyz is[;)] I was out there a little while ago and didn’t do nearly as well, good for you. what depth were the bass?

I’m sure you got your protein intake with the bugs out there. With 5? boats I bet it was nice having the lake to yourself, especially no wsmf’s.

Everywhere but best luck was just inside the weedline early and later in the day we were weedline out to about 75 yards.

We caught an awefull lot of small bass and with the price of gas good news for the future!!

Yes, It was great havig the lake to myself but those 5 boats really respect the tooners and tubers where other places I wish I had my 30-06 to slow them down a little.

I think because of the no shade factor there along with a billion bugs lake xyz is only for hardcore fishermen and will not apeal to wanabees!!

But it was posted awhile back that the bass in Pelican was stunted so I know it wasn’t there, nice post …
Now go brush your teeth…[;)]

That post that you were talking about may not be reliable because we caught some nice bass. Yes, we did catch some little ones but overall we had an awesome day remember big lures big fish or something like that.

I also saw your post on the nell that was a great day. Also, what would help the bass in Lake xyz to get bigger? Harvesting more fish? Harvesting smaller fish?

What makes big fish is time to grow and lots of small fish and crawdads to eat…

yep you should have dubbed it lake pyz. lol.
