Got new hummingbird going Monday to try it out.

The explorer 10 . Seems to work pretty good once you learn how to set evertong.

Nice mine did good today but after 4 hours it started to get interference at 8 ft like I was dragging a downrigger ball any one else have this. Could the battery cause it?
I have the 10 as well and really like it. I was getting a lot of interference on my 2D until I turned the sensitivity down to like a -7 which immediately cleared everything up. There are so many settings it took me a bit to get it dialed in. That’s strange if it was clear before that though.
Strange, it didn’t start for 4 hours, but I agree with Dunn13. If you get a chance, take a pic of it next time, so we can see what you are talking about. There are several things that can cause this, did you notice if it was just on the bottom? Was it vertical lines on the screen?
It was lines up and down from about 8ft to 9 ft like i was dragging some thing.It is wire from the battery to a fuse block then to a switch. I trolled the whole lake from so marina all the way around the edge. then it started. I will get a picture the next time i go out. It sure is a learning curve for me. As Dunn 13 said it is only in 2d so maybe i just need to adjust it a little more.
Yes play with your sensitivity and also the contrast seemed to help a lot with mine all I also had to adjust my transducer to get really dialed in
