I haven’t been able to get out fishing since Dec last year, but I’m hoping to get out later this week depending on the weather. Yesterday did look like one of the better days this week. What was the water temp while you were there? Sounds like you did pretty good. Were you trolling cranks or Bottom bouncing, or some other method?
Water temp has been in the mid 50 s depending on the time of day I have trolled bottom bouncers and cranks casted jigs and some jerk baits.
Haven’t seen a lot of reports so I figured I would report what I’ve been up to. Noticed yesterday that the canal is full it has been half for a month or so so hopefully the lake will start filling a little faster. As for fishing it’s been pretty slow for me one here one there. Couple of eyes couple cats and a few wipers. One of the wipers was pushing 5/6 pounds. The rest were 15" or so. Unusual wether so it’s been nice to get out I’m sure the bite will get better.
