Willard Walleye

Been reading this for several years and finally decided to post a question. Does anyone have a report on Walleye at Willard Bay?

They are on the prespawn bite !!! Ive heard of 3 taken in the last 4 days from guys i work and fish with ..They were caught on the jig..Also heard water temp was @ 37 deg yest ..

Water temp 40.7 as of today. Small males moving shallow. Slow swimming 3" twister tail.

Thanks for the reply. I went out Thursday night for a couple of hours. Went to the north marina but it was blowing so hard could hardly stand up and definitely couldn’t cast. Went to the south marina where the wind was at my back. Caught a bunch of rocks and 1 catfish. Will try again this week.

I went saturday night to the north dike. Threw swimbaits, jigs, and floated a mussel on my second rod. Nada. Not even a rock. Wind was blowing from north to south so the dike protected me!
ya know, I hope I don’t ever have to repeat that last sentence ever again.

west dike and north dike are the only places I’ve ever caught Walleye ,however I’m no expert so hopefully some of our walleye masters will chime in soon
