Willard tomorrow?

I have a buddy that has never been to Willard and I have not been for more than a year. I am taking him tomorrow and was hoping for some tips from here to help us not get skunked. We will be in a boat.
Thanks in advance, Shane

What time are you planning on being on the water?

[indent]Weather permitting, I will also be there.
I plan to fish in and around the N. Marina.

Try marabou jigs and bobbers, or plastic jigs.
You will catch Crappie and Wiper on these lures.

Good luck and look for a yellow and white starcraft tri hull out there. Say hi if you see it.

If weather permits and you get on the the lake, lets us know how you do. I’m trying to decide where go to on Sunday. Good luck.

Try trolling with bottom bouncers, if you don’t have those, try deep diving crank baits in a shad pattern at 1.5 to 2.5 mph. Good luck.

I tried Wally Divers, floating Rapalas, Rattle Traps, and diving Rapalas all between 2 and 4 mph on the west dike and the feed lot dike. Finally gave up and my buddy ended up catching one small Crappie in the harbor on a small brown jig. I missed my only hit of the day on a small chartreuse marabou jig. What a beating.
Maybe UL will treat me better as I will fish it in an hour or so?

we will be there… red tracker, 2 ugly bald dudes, around noon’ish tomorrow

Willard can be tough this time of the year, the weather makes it almost impossible to catch fish consistently. That should be changing in the next few week, at least I hope so[:/], if the normal weather patterns hold true. In most years the weather stabilizes in June and so does the catching. WH2
