Well - I am going to go give Willard a shot this afternoon/evening. Picked up a new boat Friday and want to put it on the pond. This will be my first trip there and if I catch a wiper or walleye, that will be a first as well. Anyone with some experience or knowledge care to join me? If so pm me and Ill get back to you.
Congratulations on the new boat!!! It was good for us the other day for walleye and a few wipers trolling hard plastics at a fairly rapid pace. Good Luck!
I fished this morning till 2 got 2 small wipers and 1 small mouth and 2 walleye all on cranks
How small were the wiper, 12 inchers or smaller? Way to go on the walleye, that’s good news, how fast were you trolling?
The wipers were 14in. Trolled about 2.0 the whole time. Mostly messing with the new finder.
That’s a decent sized wiper, in a few months wipers that size will be 16 to 18" and give you a really great fight. Wow, 2 mph is great news because if they are chasing cranks that fast, they are really hungry. What color cranks were you using?
I was using the pink and purple with orange on the underside of the mouth. Yea I hope it gets better. Still a good time.
