I have to share this mornings short trip. My wife and I hit the water at about 8:30. It took a minute to find the fish but once we did we marked the spot and kept hitting the fish. The first hook up was a double and then we made a couple more passes and brought in 2 more. Then it was time to go. The haul today was 2 wiper and 2 walleye. We were off the water by 10am. I am very fortunate as my wife has just recently, this week in fact, taken a liking to fishing!!
Well aren’t YOU the lucky guy! Both on the fish and the Mrs catching on. She’s a keeper dude! (psst LET her catch the big ones, and YOU’LL be the winner! wink!)
Sounds like a good quickie. Why has Willard never treated ME like that (A: because I’m not there RIGHT NOW! - ok, so there’s lightning and major thunderbumpers over MY head, so - um, yeah…)
All these reports - killing me! It should be a mad-house this weekend, and one launch closed (crazy) that should keep some folks off the lake, or make for a LONG launch line! Still wanna fire up the old engine, maybe come punish myself…
(or has the N.M opened up?) I’m not up to bait.
Yes very lucky!!! Definitely a keeper. And yes it was a great quickie
You need to get to Willard ASAP it has been awesome. Not a single trip that has not been perfect! I am skipping Willard until after Monday it won’t be busy enough for me so we are heading to Henry’s in Island Park. That should be a zoo! ![]()
