I am looking for an area that has some decent fishing close but has some nice small cabins - just for a night or two retreat with the girlfriend. Want to just get away and enjoy some time - but need fishing in there sometime. Prefer being in the mountains and a little secluded (not at bear lake type of deal) - any input would be great appreciated as I know a couple places in wyoming (red canyon lodge or spirit lake) but no where in utah or southern Idaho - within 2hrs of SLC. I would appreciate your input. Thank you in advance and feel free to post or PM me about this - looking to go Oct 27th…
Moon Lake has cabins. But, I don’t know if you can get one. We had to book this week for next summer and there were no weekends left by the time we could get through on the reservation line. And that was the first day that they were taking reservations for next year.
fish lake also has some cabins ranging from the basic 4 walls and a roof cabins to very nice fully furnished cabins.
there avl at fishlake lodge and also bowery haven has some.
I’d second the Fish Lake Cabins. Certainly are nice and fishing is good.
Clark County Bed and Breakfast- Cokeville Wy- private few miles of the Smith River to fish are included.
FISH LAKE!!! if you can get a cabin. they may be all booked out for the hunt…
Big Rock Candy Mountain…or Bear River Service as you enter the Uintas…WW.
I don’t know what your price range is, but check out redcanyonlodge.com I live in dutch john about half of the year, and there is some fantastic fishing to be had out there. You can hire someone to take you out for monster lake trout, catch some smallies, or book a guide, and take a trip down the green river. There are two lakes at red canyon, and both of them have pretty good fish. Kamloop strain rainbows and brook trout both can be caught, and some of the kamloops get pretty large, and are quite acrobatic. I just got back to the valley last week, and this time of year is the best time to fish out there. The possibilities are endless out there…
