For a light weight like me…yes it does. I don’t consider myself a fair weather fishermen. I will/have fished in the rain, snow and wind and enjoyed myself. But when the guides start to ice up every other cast you better believe I’m going home and crawling into bed with my wife. Unfortunately, where I live those days are greater in number than in most places. No wonder i have four kids…
Well sounds like you have your priorities straight. I just remember fishing on some of the coldest days of the year, but it was on ice and lately in a tent. Later J

I don’t know if it’s priorities or if I’m just a sissy. I know a lot of hard cores on here that will fish in anything. I’m just not that cool. I can’t even seem to get into the ice fishing scene to be honest. Maybe I’m just not doing it right.
Nothing sissy about it, some are just more addicted than others. I used to love ice fishing in the days before a toon and boat, now I still have fun ice fishing, but its not my favorite way to fish. I have a hard time always picking a good spot and I’m too stubborn to move if I’m not in a good spot so I’m not a very good ice fisher either. Well whatever you choose just make sure you’re enjoying what you do. Later J
I have been on the Lower Provo every time I’ve been able to find an hour or two to fish this week. Today it finally paid off… I as been spinner fishing with some bites but hadn’t landed anything yet and I was getting tired of pulling salad off my Vibrax after every cast. Switched to a drug fly and bubble for a bit but nothing. So I decided to try a gold trout magnet out of curiosity before packing up and heading home.
Wham! First cast I landed a lunker of a brown. Pushing 18 inches. Beautiful fish! I’ll have to head back with more trout magnets tomorrow.
