I am seeing if i can get a sponsor for a rod already but want a baitcasting reel i want a reel that would be best for a tuornament coming up so what you you guys prefer??thanx in advance
The Shimano Curado or the Castaic are very good reels. They are both not too pricey and should give you some good years of service.

Those Curado’s are impressive. I haven’t played with the Castaic but from what I’ve read, wooooeeeee!, I wouldn’t mind having one.
I like them because I’m too cheap to buy the $300 to $400 dollar reels but smart enough to buy something that is a better value for it’s price.
I have friends with the more expensive reels. They are always getting something fixed on them. The only attention that mine need are changing the line from time to time.
