What fish fights the hardest?
Freshwater has to be smallmouth bass.
Frshwater-Peacock Bass
Saltwater Tarpon
Pound for pound, the baddest thing in freshwater is a Striped bass. In salt water, well, a Marlin is a beast for obvious reasons; look how big it is. But a hard hitting game fish in a reasonable sense, I would have to say Jack Creval, or Amberjacks. Anything in the “Jack” family.
Saltwater I’d say, swordfish, tarpon and larger Bluefin Tuna.
Freshwater-Tarpon, peacock bass
Freshwater: Small mouth bass and Pike.
Saltwater: Jacks, blue fish and bonefish.
