What does your boat weigh?

How much does your boat + trailer weigh? If you could, specify the type of boat, how many axle trailer, and any other factors that add to the weight. I’m trying to get a feel for the weight of a rig so that I make sure I don’t put too much behind my SUV this spring. Thanks guys.

Oh can I just say [:p] on ice fishing (no offense to anyone), I can’t wait for open water! I hit the Provo River up the canyon Christmas eve but pulled in a big skunk, though I did see a bald eagle on a tree right above me, it was pretty cool. Anyways, I just wanted to say that it felt pretty good to wet my line, but I do hate getting skunked. I don’t believe that a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, at least there you’re making money. I guess I’m not very sentimental.

My 16ft fiberglass boat and one axle tgrailer weighed in at 2300 lbs .I had it weighed in at the flying J scale and that is being un hitched from my durango. Hope this helps.

Maybe it would be best to say what kind of SUV you have and what it’s rated to tow. I’ve only owned 2 boats, a 19.5’ cuddy (4500 lbs w/trailer) and a 21’ ski boat (4000 lbs w/ trailer). Of course my Duramax pulls that kind of weight no problem but my buddy also pulls the ski boat with his grand cherokee and it does fine. Most vehicles with a tow package will pull up to 5000, just make dang sure you get a trailer with brakes if you go much over half the rated towing capacity.
