Actually I was hoping for a picture of the Catch and Release “record” smallmouth. That’s the one that seems to have so much controversy surrounding it. It seems as though you could put all questions to bed with one simple picture. With all the pictures you took of it, surely you have one showing its length along side some sort of measuring device since that’s really the only true way to show it’s length. Especially since length what the entire record is based on.
Controversy? What are you talking about? Apparently Bassrods followed the rules and regulations for the CR record, otherwise he wouldn’t be the current record holder. It seems pretty clear cut to me, unless I’m totally missing something here. This would not be the first time.

Cool it. The official picture of Cliff’s recognized state record C&R smallie has appeared on these boards several times. His catch was properly witnessed and recorded and photographed, as per the requirements.
Why do you guys have to maintain this ongoing harassment? If the state is satisfied with the information submitted, and recognizes the record, that should be enough.
If you are not happy with Cliff holding the record, go catch a bigger fish and have it properly documented. Otherwise, please be quiet.

Those who have said to quit the harassment are right…fact is, if you can get the state to accept it as a record, that is all that really matters I suppose. The truth of the matter though is this…I’m going to be catching the next record come June, so it won’t matter anymore. HAR!
