AS I SED BEFORE IN LAST POST, I DIDNT HAVE A FLY ROD BUT I USED A VERY LITTLE ROD. AND IT WORKED OUT GREAT .
I CAUGHT 11 RAINBOW AND ATE THEM ALL , SOME ON THE GRILL AND I STUFFED 3 OF THEM , UUUUMMMM GOOD.
IT WAS OK BUT NOT BIG ACTION , I GUESS LIKE BROOK, BROOK PUT UP A LITTLE FIGHT , RIGHT.
ANY HOW I HAD FUN AND THATS ALL IT MATTERS , JUST WANTED TO LET YOU GUY’S KNOW HOW IT WHENT.
Hi there Striperking - Not quite sure what you were using since you don’t have a fly rod. Anyhow what matters is you caught some fish and had a good time. Catching even small bows on a light weight fly rod will feel like you have the catch of the day. Try it - you’ll like it.
I agree with dryrod. I just started fly fishing a little bit this year and it is a blast when you catch a fish. I have yet to catch any trout, but have caught a lot of bluegill. They fight like crazzy on a fly rod.
