Weekend Plans?

Well, it looks like the weather’s finally back on our side for now, so where’s everyone planning on going for the weekend?

I’m torn between Pineview, Starvation, and Yuba. Any suggestions?

That is a tough one. Different species different tactics. I am trying to decide what I want to do I am torn between Jordanelle, Willard or Pineview. Leaning toward Jordanelle at the moment.

Good luck
Majja

Majja, went to Willow yesterday, after driving around for 30 minutes trying to find the parking lot)
Did real well with a Prince and a Red Pheasant tail. Don’t think the guys on the shore throwing there spoons and bait were diggin’ me too much. First cast…FISH ON!:sunglasses:

Hey Majja, I saw what I assume was your old ODC 420 for sale in the bargain cove at Cabelas. I think they were trying to sell it for around $115ish. I asked if they’d fixed it up and the people there didn’t even know it was leaky. They blew it up and sure enough…psssssssh! A couple days later I went back and it was still there–hopefully patched up!

For the weekend, I’d really like to give Pineview a try, but I’m guessing there won’t be quite as big a crowd over at Starvation…tough call. Hope Jordanelle works out for ya!

WOW 115. I even told them where the hole was. If you were to pay 115 for it and than 40.00 for anew bladder that is a savings of like 15.00 dollars. I would think they would do a lot better than that. Oh well. Lake J is still up in the air, my buddy wants to head back to Willard. So I don’t know where I am going to end up. I would like to make the run back east, but I have to be home by 5:30 on Sat as my lovely wife planned a BBQ with some friends of ours with out telling me grrrrr. So as to maxamise the fishing time It will have to be one of the close ones. Good luck at Starvation JNB let us know haw she goes. I may head that way on Memoral day weekend.

Hey FG was it that they were getting out fished by a girl that was upsetting them so much? I enjoyed it over there. I am going to talk my wife into a picinic one day over there. I can fish, and the daughter can play on the playground.

Saturday I’m staying home cleaning and doing laundry so that Wendy doesn’t have to deal with that on Mother’s Day. Sunday we’re going on a drive up to Kamas and then maybe up the canyon as far as we can go… I told Wendy I’d get some little spinners together so that she can fish too… it’ll be fun just catching little trout out of the Provo. Maybe I’ll take some pictures or something. Tuesday I’m going to Utah Lake… hopefully with Leaky. I just need a good day out catching a bunch of fish.

I think “a good day out catching a bunch of fish” is the universal cure-all. Too bad there’s not many doctors smart enough to prescribe it!

Hopefully with a few days of relatively stable warmness the fishes will be eager to come out and play on Tuesday. I’d like to get out there again myself soon.

Good luck!

I am headed to the Berry at the request of a friend. We will be taking a guy who has been called back to Iraq for IED disposal. (Yuck)[crazy] Wish us luck.

POWELL BABY!!! YEEEHAWWW!!!

Good luck! :sunglasses:

Going to orlano to universal studios and islands of adventures. Personally i would stay away from yuba since the perch factory there is closed for harvesting![;)] Not worth driving there for the trout unless you are targeting pike and that will be a job trying to catch one without a boat. Good luck wherever you go.

Hey JnB,
We will be up on Pineview tomorrow for sure. If oyu have a radio we will be on Chl 7. Now can anywone tell me the best place to go chase smallies and Crappies?

I may or may not make it up there. My little morning-sick wife was doing great all week till today. We’ll see how things go between now and then, but if all is well we’ll be there. And yes, we have radios that we’ll turn to channel 7.

Good luck and hopefully we’ll make it too.

By the way, forecast says 15-25 mph winds, so don’t get too far out there!

Have fun in Florida. Good call on Yuba, the whole no-perch thing is why I was thinking of Starvation instead after reading a recent report on the fat little perchies out there…hopefully soon, but probably not this time around.

Thanks for the heads up. That is all I need is to get blown across the lake and have to call my dad to come give me a ride back to the truck. (he lives in mt green). Good luck your self I hope the sife is feeling better.
