“Wigglers” is the common name for the May Fly Larvae.
Used for pan fish this critter when properly hooked will wiggle on your hook for a little while giving the angler a moment or two of rest to get a shot of coffee or pop a cough drop or even to warm his digits in his pockets. Provided the fish will leave you alone long enough.
After dead the Wiggler is still good bait, as it will still wiggle for you when you jig your pole gently up and down about 3-6 inches, a minute or two apart between jigs.
