i am looking to go fishing this friday morning. i am after walleye and or perch. i know willard has walleye and wiper (i have yet to catch one). but i was thinking deer creek or one of the reservoirs up that direction. i just bought a 96 ranger so i dont need to hitch rides anymore. so i have room for one more just need help with gas money. PM to let me know if interested. or even mantua if anyone has good reports in the coming week.
Read Tudedude’s Starvation Reports – Perch & Walleye’s at Rabbit Gultch are a plenty.
We were over two weeks ago and the water level has dropped a lot but still was able to find fish. Look for breaks or drop off that go from the 20’ to 30’ range for perch. Once you find the Perch then you have found the general area for walleye.
We trolled with worm harness but most were just using jigs and anchoring or using the bow mounts to stay in an area.

Starvation has dropped quite a bit the last two weeks. You can walk out to the ‘island’ in Indian Bay. If you are after walleye and perch Starvation is the place to go. The walleye are a bit more stubborn than the perch. Shoot me pm if you want some info.
