Walleye on Lac Seul

Well I’m back from my fishing trip to Canada and Minnesota. Cananda for Walleye and Musky and Minnesota for Musky.

The Canada trip was great. The first morning on Lac Seul our boat landed 50 walleye but we only kept enough for our lunch; the eight of us, fishing from 3 boats, would keep 20 fish for lunch each day. After the first day the weather turned windy; east winds 20 mph all day, made for difficult fishing on the big part of the lake,this kept up for two days. We had a calm afternoon and then the wind changed to west and again blew hard.

Walley fishing continued to be difficult with the high winds but we still managed to catch our lunch and release many more.

The houseboat accommodations were excellent, and trip well worth considering.

Old fishermen never die;
they just get tangled up in their flies.

that sounds like a fun trip, even though the weather wasen’t so good. they always say walleye and wind go hand in hand.
did you get any muskies in Minn. ?? later chuck

No muskies? That’s awesome that you caught that many eyes. I wish there was a place like that close to me. Thanks for the report.:sunglasses:
