Utahs prettiest fish

For the most part Tiger trout are bland and lack color. I guess most fish have there moments just like people.

:sunglasses:A lovely specimen indeed.

hey good to see you back around here, poke your head in once in a while.

That is a good looking tiger, but i would have to go with the brook trout for the best looking.

The attached pic doesnt show off all of this fish’s colors.

Here’s one that MIGHT do it justice… although small in size, I do love the colors on the brookies as well… I suppose its only a matter of time before somebody throws up a pic of a cutt all lit up as well. Here are some pretty browns, a Fish Creek rainbow, and a rainbow as well from Ashley Creek. They’re all pretty and honestly, even some of the Utah Lake fish I catch have a very pretty look to them… :sunglasses:

I think we’d all have to agree that that Channel Catfish is the prettiest of them all! :sunglasses:

Wow those are all really pretty fish.

That is a great looking tiger. I have to agree, a tiger trout all colored up with the right markings is hard to beat. Brook trout and a colored up Colorado River cuttroat trout are also great looking fish.

Ya once in a while between two jobs and fishing trips. The site seems to have slowed down lately.

Spawning brookies and cuts are always beautiful.

Here is a Brookie from a couple of years ago that I think tops all.

Looks like hard candy. That is a beauty.

Agreed But that tiger is purdy also

Here is a pic of a tiger/brook I caught in Crystal Lake in the Uintas on 9/23/04. I have only caught brook trout out of Crystal, but this one had tiger-like spots on the sides, a thin body, and brook-like fins and coloring. Perhaps it migrating up from Washington Lake (which has tiger trout) when there was water in the stream between them.

hazmattr – that’s just a brook trout. Skinny little bugger! Nice colors…

Caught some beautiful Tigers on Southern Utah last year but as colorful as they were they were a distant second to the Colo. Cutts out of the same lakes. Simply amazing colors to those fish, to the point of looking painted.

I was talking about the tiger that started the thread mate

How about WHITE!

Those are some nice slimers! What’s that thing on the big one?

That is a sweet brookie and that’s how Tigers should look- nice.

Not sure what you mean. If it’s the thing I highlighted below, then it’s just a funky camera angle on the pelvic fin. It does look kinda alien-like though. (Cue twilight zone music)
