My friend and I rolled out to Lindon at 5:30 am and had our lines in the water just as the sun was rising. We headed south from the harbor and fished the boil up with a little success. Marked lots of fish but not enough action to keep us there. Tried jigging and rappals for eyes and whites, but nothing was hitting so we moved to the reedline and started soaking some carp meat. We each had a line out on the bottom and another under a bobber just off from the reeds. That’s were all the action was. You know you’re in it, when you are reeling a fish in on one pole and you look over at your other one and can’t see your bobber any more! The fish kept biting through most of the morning. We had about a dozen channels each and a few mudders here and there. Biggest cat was around 5 lbs. and smallest about 1 Lb. My buddy had a nice cat that made a run for the reeds and ended up braking off. All in all, it was some pretty steady, action. There was a bit of a breeze kickin up so we headed into the little bays in the reeds and pulled my bow out. The carp still are not into the fenzy mode, but we were able to stick a bunch on our way back to the harbor. Water temps were in the low 60’s.
Sorry 'bout the big pics. I PM Tubedude to see if he can resize them.
