Utah lake, Provo river, and DC

I had absolutely nothing to do on Sunday except bs around for another day so those 3 places called my name and thinking it was going to be a great turn into a slow boring day. Utah state park marina payed the amazing total bs of $9 just to catch 2 white bass on bottom bouncing with warms that was 10 inches the other was 7 inches on a yellow rooster tail. I tossed $20+ worth of white bass gear and that all was caught up there. Some guys caught 1 smally 7 inches and a few perch that were 5 inches but action was slow and dead. Looking around if there any Asians but not one in sight that easily mean that fishing sucks here. Head up the river to try to find some big groups of wb or some boils but nothing. The water is running faster and higher then it was in the summer. With no slow water flows in my deep pools spot means that white bass fishing is done for the day.

Headed into the provo canyon fly fished a few sections of the river and dang the moss just keeps growing crazy this year. Just got a few bites and had one nice fish on but that fish was lucky to get hooked off as well that bow didn’t want to be on the bft form as well. There’s tons of dinkers roaming around but nothing with good size really out there that day.

Last and final place was Deer creek back to see if the perch with want some worms so I pumped my float tube mostly to get skunked that. I tossed worms and may type of grubs but nothing. Like the Russian people who worth fishing there sucked and those words were really true. Only a few people caught bows but they were as big as the bows I can catch in some community ponds.

Fishing **sucked **but it beats a day at work or sitting at home on my pc all day.

That sucks, at least you got out.You should have took that yellow Roostertail to Provo river though Town. I Hooked 12 Browns in an hour and a half and landed 7 of them. also got a 16 inch brown. But I got Skunked Friday at deer creek for the two hours I was there so don’t fell bad. I wont put up the boat so early next year, shore fishing sux.

Ya I was thinking of it but i didn’t spend so that much of my day only like 30 min on the provo in a few spots but my favorite spots had running fast water. I was in my float tube out in the middle of the lake wondering around but still only a few rainbows were chasing a tail grub but miss them. They would come close to top of the water because I was reeling fast and see something try to take it but then they see my float tube then they think twice before taking it. I will not be on that lake until a few inches of ice forms or around June maybe the 28th will be my lucky day again to catch all of the perches in 4 hrs
