Utah Lake - is there safe ice?

I will be driving a 100 miles from northern Utah to fish Utah Lake on Tuesday. Any info on ice thickness as of the 1-1-2012 would be greatly appreciated.

Not asking for your exact honey hole spots, just general areas such as Provo Harbor, Lindon, AF, Pelican Bay.

Thanks in Advance.

Ice is plenty thick and tons of people fishing at the pump house today.

Af harbor has aabout 4 inches today but lots of people

I would save your gas and cancel the 100 mile trip to UL. Spent two days combing that lake in a row on the ice and not just in harbors either but on main lake even. I shoulda gave up on the ice and just head to my secret spot LOL. Managed to ice one crappie and a gill each day. I wouldn’t drive 100 miles for that, that’s for sure. You should have made the trip last Dec ,I mean 2010. Still plenty fish out there, they just didn’t move in much this year. Well white bass wise anyway. There are giant pressure ridges with water seeping up on the main lake but for them most part if you stay away from them you’re safe on 6 to 8 inches of ice. I saw an atv doing donuts on the north end. LOL.
