Utah Lake Gouge

First summer in Utah and would like some advice on where to fish for those white bass on Utah lake. I’m taking my 2 year old daughter fishing this sunday and thought it would be fun for her if they’re as hot as some guys say. I have a boat and she can cast about 10ft with her Dora poll.

:sunglasses:Welcome aboard. Not sure I can offer too much optimism for catching a lot of white bass on Sunday. It is not so much a matter of where…as when. If it is stormy and the water is cold the fish are not likely to come in or cooperate as much.

But, there are usually a few fish inside protected harbors if you fish around the rocks. Try rigging a bobber with 2 to 3 feet of line and a small jig…with a piece of worm on it. That will probably be her best shot at catching something…maybe even a crappie, bluegill or other species too.

I sent a PM with a copy of the PDF file I recently put together on white bass. Lots of info on the best places around the lake and some of the techniques to use during different times of the year.

**Welcome aboard and good luck. Send us some pictures of the little one and her fishies. **
