[fishin] started my moring at utah lake… now i dunno what happen or what the heck but i caught nothin!!! an i waz there till 11:30 i fished the docks an over buy the air feild!!! what am i doin wrong???
after noon took a trip to deer creek, first ten min there i caught a nice two pounder… i caught another one but got away…(there is always one getting away isnt there?) an a couple nibbles but nothing for the rest of the day either… aswell as everyone around me… i waz fishing the back side of route 189 by provo river… they just whernt bitting…

It’s the low pressure system… When these things come in, or you are only a day or two out of one or inbetween storms coming in (i.e. one just came in a day or two ago and another is coming in in a day or two) the fishing generally sucks at U.L. Same during ice fishing there or freshwater fishing. I think it has something to do with the shallow water and the pressure (barametric) changing greatly affects the fishing there more than it does at deeper water lakes.
