Anyone have any reports on Utah Lake cats? I have an evening available this week and would like to go get in to some nice Channel Cats.
Thanks in advance.

It’s a great time for BIG kitties on Utah Lake right now. Lots of fish and lots of big fish. This could be the time to break the state record. Two years of major spawns and lots of food have the cats fat and sassy. My reports confirm several fish over 20 pounds within the last two weeks, and one lost at the side of the pontoon, at night, that might have crowded the record.
With the lower water levels, the fish have moved away from shore into deeper water. Fish at least 5 to 7 feet deep. There seems to be plenty of fish around the lake, if you can find that kind of water.
Fresh carp meat has been producing the most large fish, but the standard minnows, white bass meat and even crawlers have been scoring fish. There are also plenty of white bass and they can pester the heck out of your baits. Throw almost any kind of plastics or spinners for them, and cut one up for bait. Reports of a few walleyes on both bait and lures recently. They should be coming on strong after the mid September cooldown.
Lemme know if you need some immoral support and I might just join you.
I foresee a float tube excursion very soon.
I think it is time for a classic TubeDude >> CBR >> and others flotilla!
We had about a six tube event at Lincoln Beach on August 14th. ALMOST everybody caught fish. Of course TubeBabe got the most and biggest.
Supposed to be the chance of a weather change about midweek next week. Wanna think about later next week?

Sounds like a plan.
can you launch a 22 ft bayliner down there or is it too shallow?
There are bigger boats than that launching at Lincoln Beach, without any problem. It is a good ramp with a fairly good drop. You should have at least five or six feet all the way out and then a quick 7 or 8 feet at the mouth.
Its official!
Flotilla @ UL next week!
