Utah Lake 14 Aug 2010 White Bass

Hit the state park @ UL with my kiddo and we ended up with a ton of white bass. They ate anything and many were doubles. I could not find a lure they would not hit. They were deep @ 12 noon and moved into shore by 4pm and the shore folks were getting a good # as well. Trolling worked well to find schools.

I hit the same place with the same results last week with Kent…another fun day out. Did not post due to lack of pics (too busy catching I guess).

Tons of whities…go get em’..great fun for kids, worm under a bobber.

That’s a nice haul buddy! After seeing that, I guess I shouldn’t be concerned if I post a pic of doing well with the kitties. Funny how I just haven’t found the W bass like that on open water yet. Maybe someday I’ll get my youngest on a day like that! :sunglasses:

But the same method is working for us, diff’rnt species, dif’rnt part of the lake. :sunglasses:

I hope the conditions last @ UL for a while.

:sunglasses:Nice work guys. Glad you are helping to rid the lake of a few “silver carp”. They are far too plentiful again this year and they are staying smaller. We need to harvest a lot more to get the sizes back up to respectable ranges.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO IVAN…next Friday, the 20th.

I have some trinkets for him that you can pick up during the week.

Shawn,
what a fest. good report, like the good pics as always,
rich

Thanks Pat, I should be able to drop by on Thursday. They are smaller with the once in a while 12+".

Glad the pics are appreicated, sometimes I forget to take some. They are nothing like Rogers UL post, but they are good. We need to share some water one of these days.

I hope so too. It has yet to let me down. The bass are huge in #'s and the cats have been hit and miss, but I have always come home with at least some WB.

Shawn

Looks like another great white bass outing for you and Ivin. Definitely brings back memories from our trip together on Tuesday.
