Went catfishing this morning but got a late start. We put in at swedes point and went to the cement dike by the entrance to East Bay - nothing - not even a carp rolling. We moved farther in to East Bay - nothing - saw a few carp. We moved about 1/2 way into East Bay and that did the trick. we caught 7 between 2 and 10.5 lbs in about an hour then had to leave. I did get a picture of the biggest one. The ducks and geese were all over the place they were worth the excursion alone. We used carp meat and shrimp.

Very nice fish. Great springtime weather for fish UL. Until all the reports started coming in about the channel cats on the bite, I would have expected the water to be too cold for a week or two. Shows how wrong my thinking is.
