Hey all,
I’ve realized I have been guilty of asking for tips and hints and haven’t been letting people see the results, so here is an update of recent fishing expeditions.
First off spent a few days up in the Uintahs at pass and butterfly lakes and had a good time with my family. It will be the last family trip before I leave for Marine Bootcamp in December so it was not about the fish but about the experience… But the fish helped [;)]
Caught many, many trout on pretty well everything we could throw out and it was very fun. I got my little sisters into fishing which was great ![]()
After our Uintah trip my cousin and I have been to the berry a couple times, first time he used a white Storm swim bait which produced well and I caught a couple on a Rainbow colored spoon tippped with crawler retreived fast.
This Monday we went to the berry again and we got lucky with some good sized fish again.
I got the first fish with a bow colored clipped spoon worm tipped, Was a gorgeous 20 Cut, which happened to be my first ever! My cousin then in two casts of his fly rod landed the two biggest of the day. One was a beast Tiger which suprised me as I didn’t even know Tigers were in the Berry. Then the next was a larger cut at 21 inches which weighed a ton! First time out fly fishing for me and I hooked myself far more then I expected. But I still loved it.
This is getting long but I really just want to say thanks to all of you on this site who have givin me great advice over the last two years and have really helped me out a ton. Thanks for everything guys! (and gals [;)])
