I went down to a/f today and started out throwing a jig on the west side with no luck, walked down all the docks with some ice fly’s tipped with worms, also with no luck, finally I sat down and jigged jigged jigged with no success!!! It was fun to get out though. Some younger folks next to me caught a nice perch.. after that they left and so did I as my my hands had enough of the cold exposure without so much as a nibble. I thought I would be bummed that I didn’t catch a fish but it was just nice to get out of the house and do some fishin… here ice ice ice!
I hear ya! UL was not good to me either, but it was good just to get out. Our city ponds are froze completely and I am seriously thinking about fishing them.

That area treated me very well last summer several times. I’ve wondered about hitting UL right now, but I don’t think I’d do it unless I had a boat to be able to move around to find 'em.
