Hey Jeff, go and do a night fishing excursion to the spot I told you about that is down river from your dads place. I don’t do well there during daylight hours, but night time is a totally different beast. This time of year they come up out of the channel and hunt on the shallow flats immediately adjacent to the channel and it is usually good for a dozen or so per trip. I like to fish it between 9:30 and 1:00 am at the latest (unless the fishing is on fire!).

That spot on the river by your dads place usually starts to taper off for anything decent for me after the spawn until late August or early September, but it still kicks out a decent one every now and then, but the numbers of larger ones seems to go down a bit.

If you can’t remember the spot, PM me and I’ll tell you the spot again.

Thanks Mike, I know you can find the big boys out here… Been a while since we seen any of your 32"ers around… Looks like if you can’t get over here to catch them, I’d be glad to try your spots… Probably won’t be able to beat Ahi, but I’d like to make him nervous anyway… Need to keep team south on the ropes as well… Thanks Mike… J

Mike! How you been? Do you get over here a lot these days? I finally met up with Jeff today and caught some bitty kitties and big carp. We’ll have to plan another excursion one of these days/evenings.
