well i was just looking at the stocking report from the dwr and it that they stock pine valley res. with tiger muskie thought why will the stock tiger muskie in such a small pond . it no very big and they stock it with trout and it does have brooktrout in it .
isn’t Pineview quite large?
Pine Valley in Washington County, not Pineview.

The DWR will tell you there are to many Green sunfish in that lake and Muskie are the solution.
I noticed they are stocking Kolob even though it was over populated.
Has anybody ever caught a baby muskie like the size they planted in here, and if so how did you catch it?
I thought that the freeze at Pine Valley killed just about everything and that with the huge amount of pressure is why you only catch the yearly planters. My guess would be that it was a data entry error and they ment Pineview Res.
Where were you reading the “Stocking Report”? Can you give us a link to it?

I believe this is a mistake on the stocking page…I know for a fact about this same time frame they planted roughly 2500 Tiger Muskies in Pineview…and there’s nothing showing Tiger Muskies being planted in Pineview…again I suspect this is a mistake by whomever does the stocking page update…we frequently fish PV and the DWR employee up there always chats with us and told us they planted roughly 2500 TMs in Pineview the day before and he assisted with the stocking. 
The smallest I have ever caught was about 14 inches. He grabbed a smaller popper I was using for bass.
