the Wolftever Kid, CHICKISSIPPI, ANOTHER P. B. CRAPPIE, 3/10/11, SOLO

Went out about 9:00. Water is crazy high, muddy, and lots of current. PERFECT, just
the way daddy likes it. I saw 3 boats all day. I start fishing 10 ft. deep with water temp.
at 51 degrees. I'm throwing 1/32 oz.jigs ridden by BG Outlaw Special. I catch one on my
4th cast followed later by back to back crappie. A few casts later I'm rock'in the Outlaw
Special on a 3 count with a slow retrieve, big thump, I stick the fish. It comes at me at first,
then runs sideways like a bass. Then the line wraps around the trolling motor. I pick up the
tm, free the line, and work it to the boat and into the net. It looked like the fish I caught
last trip that had swallowed a baseball. (full of eggs) With my hands shaking I emptied the
livewell to let this queen have plenty of room. I fished for another hour, catching a few more
keepers. I loaded back up to get the crappie weighed. 2lbs. 14 1/2 oz., almost 15 1/2 ins.
I'm gonna get a 3 pounder if it kills me! I re-launched the boat, took the queen back to her
home, released with a pic. With the wind remaining steady and the temp dropping, the crappie
turned off. 10 keepers, all released.
