Hit the water at 7:40, encountered a little fog, nothing serious. Tried a deep dropoff, <br />caught a few keepers, and a ton of shorts. Used a 1/16 oz. jig here, fish were hitting on a 15<br />count. I fished docks with limited success, a few here and there.The shallow docks produced<br />the largest crappie. After 12:00, the wind picked up to 25 mph, or more. Got my brains beat out<br />on a long run. About 1:00, with the wind at its peak, the crappie turned on. In huge waves on a <br />dock, first cast 13 in. crappie. Second cast, I thought I had a smallmouth, it pulled so hard. Got it <br />in the net, good thing, it was barely hooked. A 15 1/4 in. pig. my 43 tarp of the year! I caught 3<br />more here, all over 13in. I held them and took a pic, and released all. The 13 inchers looked <br />like 10 inchers, next to the pig. I kept catching good crappie, in 6-8 feet of water. The wind let up <br />and so did the crappie. I finished with 35 keeper crappie, all released. Quit at 4:30. 1/32 oz., Outlaw<br />Special, a star, again. <br />
