This picture shows you what can happen when the fish decides he does not want his picture taken. It was supposed to be a 24" Pickerel that I caught from Black Lake New York, He was taken on a crappie jig in the morning about 10Am on the 16th of june 2003.
The only thing I can figure is that this pickerel was wanted by the local game warden for perch and crappie fry consumption.

**i cought a 12 crappie , but it was hooked in the gill plate , he went back in .

20" channel cat , south pierhead , au sable river ,oscoda , mi . august 30/31 around midnight . fished from 9pm. to 4;30 am . cought on a day old sun ripened chub minnow , bottom fishing , 2# test line !!! i grabed the wrong pole when i left the house

19" Catfish Caught on shrimp with marshmellow (marshmellow keeps the shrimp off the bottom
This nice 21’ walleye was taken from Black Lake New York on 6/17/03 at 1120AM while drifting over 24’ of water he took a crappie jig yellow in color tipped with piece of worm.
Blus Catfish caught on 6/18/03 at 11AM while jigging for crappie with light tackle. Taken from Blackk Lake NY the cat is 28" long and weighted 9.3 lbs.
24" Striped Bass caught in the Merrimac River, Mass. I was using clams on the bottom. The day was July 15,2003 at approx. 10 AM.
16" Small mouth Bass caught on 6/20/03 at approx. 1PM using a rattle trap while fishing on Black Lake NY.
chinook “king” salmon , 35" 13 lbs. and this was the baby i landed , belive me i hooked some bigger monsters , had one almost send me swimming too . but what can you expect for bottom bouncing using 4 lb.test line ( trylene ), 6 lb. leader line , and a black, bead head ,stone fly ? tee hee hee !
the fish was cought at tippy dam spillway , manistee river system , nearest town wellington , mi about 1 p.m. on 9-5-03
my thanks to stormy26 of the michigan board for giving me the general information needed to go in search of this prise fish , it’s my first salmon ever .

The 47.5 lb catfish was caught at 12:40 pm, the smaller one (35 lbs.) was caught approx. 11:15 am. They were pulled out of the Santee Cooper Lakes-Blacks Camp, South Carolina. The weather was party sunny and fairly mild, the date was 4/4/2003.

How’s things going?
We are heading back up to tippy this weekend.
We went two weeks ago and got two nice ones too.
This past weekend we went over to the east side and check out the harrisville harbor and alpena dam. We only got one in the harbor and for the dam in alpena there was a bunch of kids tring to fight over about 5 fish that was blacker then black. I a couple of friends do real good at tippy friday night 4 fish. How were the fish looking when you where up there are they turning black and are there jaws growing out?
THE WEEK BEFORE LAST THEY WERE PRETTY BLACK , THIS WEEKEND THE SECOND RUN OF FRESH FISH WERE IN . THEY HAD A LOT OF FIGHT IN THEM PRETTY COLORS TOO . I SAW ABOUT THREE FISH JUST LEFT ON THE BANK FROM THE SNAGGERS ON SATURDAY NIGHT .
I POSTED THE DRAWING OF THE HOT FLY TO USE , TAKE A LOOK AT IT , IT MIGHT GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT TO GET FOR THE TRIP . I’M TELLING YOU THEY WERE GETTING NAILED ALMOST EVERY CAST !
I HEAR THERE STILL AT THE PIER HEAD ON THE AUSABLE AND SOME AT THE RIFLE .
ONLY LOW FUNDS OR HIGH GAS PRICES ARE GONNA KEEP ME AWAY FROM TIPPY .
I wanted to comment about some of these pics I have seen. Some of these fish seem really small[unsure]
I am hoping that we are still practicing catch and release with alot of the smaller fish. Just an idea from an ole fisherman.
