The storm last night turned most of the snow on the top of Deer Creek in to a sheet of ice. Take care when walking out to fish. There is a 1-2 inch top layer of poor ice on top of a few inches of slush then 9-12 inches of good ice. Walking back to the parking lot later in the afternoon in some parts the crusty ice would collapse in to the slush layer. Edges are still good.
Fishing was very slow today. Not many out on the ice.
