I’m flying out at buttcrack o’ dawn to hit the lake Sunday morning. I just don’t know what lake to go to[crazy]. I would really like to hit Pineview as I got some lures I’d like to try, maybe Mantua after seeing BLFG’s bass [;)]. If anybody wants to chip in on gas from the SL area I have room.
Anybody have any recent Pineview reports? Water temps, fish reports, etc?
I’ll check back in a couple hours.
The lake is very low put I think it’s made the fishing better. When you launch your boat head north were the no boat bouys use to float in the water and throw top water in the morning and spinners baits all day long and you’ll catch some good size smallies and muskey. This was as of last week so it could of changed by now. Bass-Trackin.
Thanks for the info. I guess nobody wants to go with me [pirate], I’ll check back later.
How are the conditions at Mantua for a bass/ski boat. It sits pretty shallow, I hear it’s pretty mossy up there. Any help would be appreciated.
I’m going to throw this on the top one more time. I’m headed to Mantua in the early morning. Does anyone want to go with me? You’ll have to put up with me cursing if I miss a fish but that’s about the worst of it. I’ve got the boat, truck, and more than likely the right bait. All I’m looking for is someone with $20 for gas and a pole who wants to go fishing. I know you people like to fish. If you’re afraid that my 6 year old is going to outfish you I’ll tell her to take it easy.

The boat ramp is great. It’s only two wide, but it drops off fast. I was up there last week and the fishing was fast. Didn’t target bass this time, but caught a few anyway. Tons of perch and bluegill. The only thing Mantua needs is a fish cleaning station. The moss was not on the surface last week. Theres plenty about 5ft down, but thats it.
Sweet! That’s been what I’ve waiting for, thanks. Still no takers, my daughter doesn’t even want to go…
I’m always down for some BASSIN’! Wish I would’ve seen your post earlier tonight. Best of luck to ya in the morning!

Ended up at Mantua 45 minutes later than planned. I-15 construction sucks. First bass was just under 3 lbs. I thought it was going to be red hot but couldn’t get anything over 13" the rest of the day. Mantua reminds me of Pelican with water skiiers. I don’t think I’d be in the water out there, I saw a sign saying something along the lines of the health department yada yada, stay out of water. Didn’t stop people from swimming.
Kept some decent perch for table fare. Man, they were tasty.
I’ll catch ya next time Wasatch.
Fsh4fun, I guess you didn’t get my private message.
I was out there kickin’ around in my yellow pontoon, draggin’ the boys in their rubber raft. They had a blast- catching many 'gills and even a few perch.
Then the power crowd hit the lake and the wind came up soon after that, so we were out of there by noon thirty or so.
Man the moss is really starting to overtake that lake like it does every summer at about this time.
Fun times.
Sounds good!
Mantua is a nice little lake. Disappointing for bass but really fun for panfish!
See ya 'round the pond!
