I’m kind of surprised by the lack of sturgeon talk i have found on the idaho forums. I was just wondering if anyone here fish for the prehistoric fish.

I fish for then every summer!!! It’s addictive for sure.

Fishing for those monsters is a great time. I bring up the Dutch ovens and build a fire while kicking back a few.

I have fished for the giants a few times, What a rush!I wish I could go every year. Last time I went I fought one of the big guys for 45 minutes only to have him head for. A rock and off he went! When is the overall best time to fish? Lakertaker41

any time is good. Winter time means less people most of the time. Ron

We got a 7 ftr today, set the hook and handed the pole to a newby. When the water comes up I’ll send out invites, make sure you respond.

Yeah I have seen your YouTube videos they are awesome! I need to learn some tricks because I seem to lose more then I’m able to land but hooking up itself is worth the trip to me

I do need to go with someone who knows sturgeon. There is just something I’m not doing right.

I want to give them a few tries in March. I go out and get one every now and then but some guys pull 10 or 12 a day[:(] you going to take me out on your jet sled? If so ill go when ever.

Its running 7200cfm we should hit the hole that we talked about the cats should be stacked up in there

Myself and a couple others plan on trying one on the fly this year if all goes according to plan. And on a Chironomid[;)]

Never been sturgeon fishing, but plan on a trip this year with some buddies. Always heard it was a rush.
