Looing to go to either Strawberry or Scofield on 12-27-08 Sunday does anyone hve any updated ice reports?

I can’t speak for the Berry but Scofield had 5 inches plus a week ago when I went. It has got to be 6-8 easily now. The temperatures up there have been at or below zero at nights and in the teens during the day.

If you go to Scofield on the 27th you will have plenty of company. There is a tournament there on Saturday. Sunday is the 28th.
thanks i got my dates mixed up not used to having so much time off. just decided after seeing the weather going on Sunday the 28th instead hopefully the roads will look better by then

The roads aren’t too bad going to scofield. It’s snow packed once you turn off highway 6 but not too deep.. The good news is, due to the tournament, they plowed some of the parking areas. The last one before you get to the town is huge and well plowed. hope that helps.
What areas and depth were producing the best?
we only ventured out enough to get about 10 feet deep (bad back) and did pretty good from 7:30-9:00 and then it went flat line from there on! wish I could tell you more. Talked to other people and they say the earlier the better[crazy]
Thanks, i am leaving Layton at 4am but its been years since i have been there and always went between the island and Scofield West(buddy has a cabin there) but i’ll be walking tomorrow.
I don’t like walking to far either, bad back, knee, ankles,lungs(smoker[crazy]). the wife says i’m falling apart.
