I decided to brave the storm and went to Strawberry on Saturday with Jedburton and my brother in law. When we arrived to whitecaps and howling wind I was questioning the decision. We fished from shore as the wind was blowing right into our faces and caught nothing so we decided to go to the other side of the lake to have the wind at our back. This worked for awhile but then then it began to snow rather heavily and we still weren’t catching anything. At this point I was thinking I should have stayed in bed. We moved a little further down the shore though and found some deeper water and began catching fish right away. We caught them on Jakes, white tube jigs, powerbait, and nightcrawlers. A nightcrawler a few feet under a bobber was the most productive. We caught 6 rainbows and quite a few cutts. The biggest cutts were 21". Can’t wait to get back up there again.
Those are some nice fish. A little persistence goes a long ways!
Thanks for posting those. It was a lot of fun and Like He said the hurricane force winds and icy cold conditions had us wondering what we were thinking. Once we finally found them though the fishing was fairly consistent and actually picked up as we were leaving around 1:00. I guess it was just proof that fish will still feed in almost any kind of weather if you can find them. When the fishing started to get the fastest the wind had just picked up again and it was snowing as well as blowing pretty hard,

looks a little cold for my taste! I would have had my ice tent set up on the shore!
