Spent the weekend camping and fishing up at Strawberry and had good success. Most of my luck was over at “E. Portal Bay.” Basically I head out of the marina and go diagonal to the right and go back in the bay where the dirt boat ramp is. I was fishing 35’ deep with pop gear and a worm. It was a lot of fun and the fish were fighting hard. Caught mostly 1-3 lb cutthroats and a couple little rainbows, about 10 fish in all for me and 5 for my buddy who was only there half the time. I call that a good weekend!

great report , it seems like the fishing always picks up towards fall in the east portal ,I’ve had some great times over there.
