Thanks for the recipe buddy, I’m going to give this a try.
True Blue, I think that was my buddy you saw up there on Tuesday pulling the planar board. He runs a river type Alumacraft Stryker with a sport jet. He was in that same area and texting me that he saw your boat. He didn’t do as well as you. He was too shallow as the day before he did well at 20ft. They’ve been a little weird so far with the temps being so low, one day they’re on top and the next at 40 and pretty scattered. They sure are nice fat fish when you find them though.
Take a few of those Werthers original candy pieces, wrap them in a clean cloth and crush them with a hammer.
Sprinkle some of this crushed candy on your salmon pieces about half an hour before they are finished, for a nice glaze.
Don’t use too much as you don’t want a hard crust.
Wondering what size flasher or dodgers you are running with your setback so short?
My goose hunting buddy is Art Pearce, he started up and owns Kokanee Creek Tackle. He builds and ships all his tackle out of Sandy, Utah.
I only use his stuff for all of my koke fishing.
Art also has a line of very high quality walleye crawler harnesses that I use for walleye, wipers, and perch.
His MAD dodger that I use is about 1.5" x 3.25" and has a relief-cut relective sticker on both sides, not just on one side.
Try his stuff once, I think you will really like it.
If you are going to the DAV event let me know and I will lend you one to try.
Have fun.
I have used Art’s KCT stuff as well. Both Kokanee I caught yesterday were on black and brass Killer Bees from KCT. I went through quite a few terminals, pink squid, etc. Had never tried these especially in the black and brass, but that is what they hit.

love those werther candies, this sounds amazing! just need some kokes, lol
This is where the kokes were at to day and how deep
I’m not going back till it warms up and stops raining
The water Temp is about the same down the bottom as it is at the top so the fish don’t know where to go, so they go where the food is.
it was windy and I had interference noise from my Kicker motor.[inline snp0521153743.jpg]
So is that off a Lowrance? I’ll try and get some snap shops off our new Hummer and post when we get back after the weekend.
I was hoping to find them off the east shore of the Berry side but guess I’ll venture over to the SC side and try our luck.
Wish now I was docking over that side like we usually do but I have a buddy that holds up in the Mud Creek campground on the west side of the road so we’re taking our coach and that will be our base camp.
Here’s my latest invention… These are set up for bear lake so the leaders are a bit long.
Got frustrated trying to swap tackle and getting tangled up so this is my potential solution.
