From the DWR email that I just received:
"Strawberry Reservoir: The ice is starting to grey and degrade. Strawberry has received a lot of rain this past week resulting in several layers of soft ice having water in between. This late season ice is very unsafe. We do not recommend anglers fish the ice."
Has anyone been up there in the last couple days that can confirm or deny this report?
I drove by yesterday and it is melting fast there is a few spots were there is open shoreline .i will take a look Monday and post back

Well I guess that foils my plans to hit it one last time this ice season. All packed up and ready to go, kind of deflated my tires! Guess it’s time to get the yard work done and prepare for gardening [:/]
