Strawberry Crawdad Fest?

Hey Fellow Fishermen,
I wanted to see if there is a crawdad fest going on at Strawberry this Saturday? I have heard a few buzzes around the office about something this Saturday but didn’t know if they were true. Any help would be great? Also what’s the best way to cook them? Thanks!
Fish Speed,

Can’t go wrong in a big pot with red potatos, onions, and corn on the cob. A little seasoning, bring to a boil, and feast!!! I also like to just boil them and dip them in homeade cocktail sauce. Crawdad salad is another good one!

As stated above, but I put the corn, potatoes and onion in first and boil for 10 min or so before I add the dads. Don’t want to over cook them.
They are done when the potatoes are if you wait the 10 a minutes.

If you like spicy, use Zatarains crab boil, if you like good flavor but not as hot, use Old Bay crab boil.

If you tail them use in any way you would use shrimp.
I cooked up a big pot of Jambalya yesterday with them.

Using the left over bacon grease, sautee
an onion, a pepper, 4 stalks celery, 2 large carrots, 3 cloves garlic finely chopped until onions are transparent.
Add some chicken meat (I used a left over 1/2 chicken) a can of chicken broth and a can of tomatoes. Spice with salt & Pepper, Cummin, Paparika, poultry seasoning and Shiribachi sauce to taste.
Simmer for 30 minutes, add 2lbs of cleaned crawdad tails and put on some rice to cook.
When the rice is done so is the jambalya.
Spoon some Jambalya over the rice and enjoy.
