Starvation Again

Some of us are crazy to get a walleye through the ice and therefore keep making the run to Starvation. Arrived about 7:30 to -5, not too cold. Hiked down by the bridge. Meet a couple of other BFT people. not sure of the names. The fishing was slow. We couldn’t find any schools of perch, but came home with six nice fat ones. The ice is plenty thick, with wheeler tracks on it. Maybe I’m done with Starvation, we’ll see. To the guys we met, we found a small tackle box over by your holes. Give me a PM and we’ll figure how to get it to you. Did you go to Pelican and how was it? No pictures, it was too cold to bother.

Thanks for the update on the Vation. Sorry ta hear you didnt run across a school or perch near the bridge or atleast couple nice fat Browns.
Did you guys drive to the state park/dam? If so did the ice look like it would support a sled, (as in Snowmobile)??
3M and I might load the camper and venture out that direction Thursday to celebrate next weekend..

We didn’t go into the State Park, just by the bridge. There were ATV tracks coming from that direction so I think the ice must be safe. Where we were on the west side the ice was 8 inches. On the east side it was closer to 5 inches. Good luck and we will look for your post. Also a golf cart came onto the ice from the camper world area with two men and they did fine.

Hey thanks for the ice report. I’ll make a report if we make it out there..

So how big were the perch you caught? You two really want to catch a walleye through the ice. I like your style.:sunglasses:

Sewfish, I accidentally left with the spoon you let me borrow!!! I still got it and planed on giving it back to ya. Lets go fish again so I can return it!!! I bought one for myself and would not feel right keeping yours. Thanks for borrowing it to me. I am thinking DC, UT lake or Rockport again. Let me know if ya want to meet up on THURSDAY!!! Or tomorrow but I hate driving in the snow!!! IF it stops, I will be fishing somewhere for a little while.
