The fishing was pretty slow on Sand Hollow and Quail Creek. I was told we got there right after a front shut down the fishing. I took many many casts for a total of 5 fish over the two days. The quality was pretty good though. The five fish total was over 18 pounds. Biggest was 4lb 11oz.
I feel like the trip was a success because every fish I caught was using a technique that was new to me. Research on this site and tips from BFTers helped me catch fish I probably would not have caught otherwise. All fish were caught on either deep crankbaits or drop shot rig. Thanks.
So anyone fished Pelican yet? Water temps?
