Well dont know what to do so im going to tie 14 more flies up and fed ex them i sent the others Sat. the 20th so for some reason 28 flies show up at your door. You will know the reason. If so just pm me and will figure it out. Is there any way to track something in the mail? maybe the postman was a flyfisherman to and figured he got a bonus. J/K
I’ve read this forum for several months but never joined and posted anything. I have really enjoyed keeping up on the fishing on the Ogden and Weber Rivers. I would very much like to be a part of the Fly Swap if there’s still time. I too am a novice, but think this will be a fun way to learn and share. I’d be happy to tie up some Olive Hare’s Ears or some Rainbow Warriors, if the group agrees.
Hey Pupa, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is too late. Most of have already sent our flys in, so that would mean we would have to tie one more fly and mail that one fly.
However, maybe we can put to gether a ‘Summer Swap’.[;)] This was fun to do, it was my first time doing it on this scale. Usually me and my brother in law will tie a bunch and trade with each other.
pupa, manzquad is right I have received most of everyone’s flies its not fair to everyone to have to pay additional postage to mail out one more fly. But if all are interested I hope to have another swap for summer maybe caddis or a hopper theme its up in the air for now. I don’t want to be glory hog so maybe next time someone else can host or I can I had real fun hosting this one. Maybe you could host it .
But I will keep you as as alternate just in case someone cant send there flies in.
Hey, sounds good. I just figured out there are multiple pages for each forum. I was only looking at the first page last night and didn’t realize the swap was nearly completed. I’ll look to get involved with the summer swap.
Ok here is the deal. In my enjoyment of getting to tie another 14 flies for the swap, I have learned my limit in fly tying for one setting. I got home from work and begain tying eggsucking leeches(2 doz) for my up coming steelhead trip( one hell of a good time and I’ll post pics after) I relized that I had to tie again for the swap. After I completed that task I thought to my self why not tie a few stoneflys(1/2 doz.) for the up coming hatch. By this time my eyes and patience were shot. So this time Senergy i will have my new batch in FED-EX!!! will be shipped tomorrow. So they should be there by thr. or fri.
Received CBW, Kochanut, lunkerhunter2 flies today All great looking flies. Macfly55 pm’ed me says he’s working on a second set of flies he willl have his flies to me as soon as possible. WooHoo
