anyone fished this lately? Thinking about going out tomorrow am to chase some browns.
I hit it last week, the water is perfect. Caught a couple browns on a joes hopper. fished for an hour.
Fished it yesterday from around noon to 3. The river is just beautiful right now–decent flows, clear water and about a billion caddis cases on every rock. I didn’t see fish rising but was using a new Tenkara rod and thought casting dry flies would be better practice so I used a size 18 tan caddis & a size 14 tan X Caddis–caught 2 browns on the tan and 2 on the X and had a few other good takes on each that I missed. When I left there were noticeably more caddis flying around so I bet the dries would have been very good in the evening.

did pretty well…started with hopper patterns then hit the trusty gunslinger… always a crowd pleaser.
