Shore Fishing

I know that there is limited open water by this point, but does anyone have any good advice for shore fishing for trout? I’m looking to go this Friday, and could drive up to 2 hours outside Salt Lake. PM me if you would prefer.

:sunglasses:There was a decent report on East Canyon.

You might want to try Deer Creek. The fishing from shore on either side of the ramp at Walsburg is usually pretty good this time of year. Right now there are a lot of small recent planters cruising the shoreline and hitting spinners and bubble-fly rigs. But there are also some nice 16" - 18" fish to be had with “bottle baits” and other trout offerings…on or near the bottom. The depth drops off quickly here and you have to experiment with the length of cast to get your bait at the right depth.

Good luck.

Read the post TubeDude just left me about UL, too.
