Fished Scofield yesterday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. 3 of us landed 24 fish. Most fish where around the 12 to 15 inch mark with a few up to 20inches, even found a few fish around 4-6 inches [:p]. The ice was about 6 to 8 inches thick, all in all a fun night of fishing.
I am going up there a couple of times next week. Can you tell me where you were at on the lake? I was there last Friday and did not do much catching.
We were fishing the north end of the lake, by the cabins. Find a place where there has not been many holes drilled and you should find some fish.
As I mentioned in my post from Scofield on Wednesday mobility is limited due to the slushy conditions. Finding a location that has not rec’d a lot of pressure is going to be the biggest obstacle. One trick we found was to continually change your bait. Fresh mealies seemed to produce a much better strike. Good luck.
