Salvelinus Fontinalis

With this heat I have been wanting to get up High in the mountains every chance I can. Yesterday I decided to hike up to a lake I haven’t tried for years and was rewarded with big brookies every few cast. What a day!

Gorgeous looking brookies!! Making me anxious to hike up to the high uintas soon!

Gorgeous fish and area, well done!

Nice, very nice!!!

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Wow, spectacular pics…thanks for sharing.

Wow, they almost don’t look real with that much color, almost look painted on, very impressive. It is rare to see them that size in Utah. I guess they must be spawning, with colors that bright. Were you fly fishing?

Wiper hunter. They spawn in the fall. I was not fly fishing I was using tube dudes wobble jigs.

Jealous!

**Absolutely beautimous.

Were you using your jig wraps or Gulping them?

Beautiful fish, thanks for posting the pictures.

I thought they were only brightly colored like that, when they were spawning, I guess you learn something new every day:astonished:.

Great… Line twisters personified.
They look like the ones we used to catch in the Wind Rivers.

Looks like they’re doing quite well in there. Nice work. Nice hike!

Gulp. Thanks again for the jigs I need to come get some more very soon!

**Got a bunch more made up…including, olive, motor oil and copper.

Beautiful Brookies. Job well done!:+1:

Looks like a fun trip, can’t wait for my high country trip this summer… Too bad I only get a couple of those a year they are my favorite time of the year… Not often I find that nice of fish though, well done… later J

Ye-haww partner, those are some nice brookies!!!

I am also jealous. Those are far better than the dinky planters my kids were pulling out of Trial Lake. better get the hiking boots on. Thanks for the amazing pics.
